Mooncake is an ethnic dessert beloved by the Chinese people. It is traditionally eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival for lunar appreciation and moon watching. The goal of this project is to create a modern and minimalistic packaging solution for the traditional dessert.

THE ELEMENTS
The inspiration for the mooncake box was drawn from a traditional Japanese art form - origami. The origami structure pairs with the moon pattern interior creates a perfect balance for the traditional eastern and modern western fusion style.
